Rooms are perfectly adequate and clean. We had several issues with shower not working and door locks but staff did their best to resolve it and were very helpful We enjoyed our stay as it's centrally located and there's loads of eating options nearby. The hotel has a bar and serves breakfast but we didn't use these during our stay Nice hikes nearby

The property is in need of updating and some tlc . It was fine for a night but I wouldn't have wanted longer. The staff are really helpful and friendly. The location is great for the train. Parking is limited but we parked on the street without too much difficulty. Breakfast is cheap , the quality is not great. The room had a lovely seaview but the bedside shelves were loose , the shower rail was loose , the shower was difficult to alter temperature and very slow to drain.

Nice hotel in a good location. Close to plenty of shops and restaurants and not too far to walk into Barry Island. A little bit of tlc needed in the room due to wear and tear which didn’t affect our stay at all.

Great place to stay for a few days. I was looking for somewhere just outside of Cardiff for a few days for a break on my way down to London, turned out to be a very convenient stay and great value too. My room was nicely heated, comfortable bed, good water pressure and clean. The Hotel has a nice bar downstairs for a Friday night drink (very quiet too). Staff were quite friendly and there were a few good options for local cafes and restaurants. It's a good choice and good value. I only stayed two nights. Took a nice drive down to Penarth on morning for breakfast and a walk (10 min drive). Likewise it's not a long drive to Cardiff CBD. Good stay.

Beds need replacing, spring mattress, makes noise everytime u turn over in bed, bunk beds creek, very uncomfortable, even my child foumd it difficult to sleep, otherwise good location, also if u are not a great driver, pls note this hotel is up a slope and parking is also on a slope

Attended a function at the hotel and having gone to bed before it finished we were surprised to find it was quite quiet in our room. Car park is limited and spaces are tight so can be problematic if the hotel is busy
